Laughlin AFB is located near the City of Del Rio in Val Verde County. The CUS project Study Area covers the full extent of Val Verde County, the City of Del Rio, and Laughlin AFB, including all land, water, and airspace within the County and specifically the Amistad National Recreation Area at the confluence of the Rio Grande, Devils River, and Pecos River near Del Rio.
